MONTBLANC REVEALS THE MONTBLANC CHALET

Montblanc returns to Watches & Wonders with a clear concept: the Montblanc Chalet. More than a booth, it’s a structured narrative that mirrors the brand’s identity: symmetrical layouts, vintage design cues, and a muted colour palette pulled straight from its recent 100 Years of Meisterstück campaign, directed by award-winning film-maker Wes Anderson.

Visitors are welcomed by the chalet façade, complete with signature props from the campaign — vintage luggage, the Montblanc flag, and a backdrop of mountains. It’s cohesive and reinforces the brand’s roots in exploration and storytelling.

The first room is dedicated to Montblanc’s 0 Oxygen watches — timepieces designed to operate in extreme, high-altitude conditions. With no oxygen inside the case, they stay clear and condensation-free. The space mirrors this: cold temperatures, wind sounds, glacier-inspired light, and tactile displays that let guests try the pieces on their wrist.

As you walk inside, the tone shifts. Warm wood, a vintage fireplace, and a desk by Marco Tomasetta invite visitors to take a moment. Guests can write postcards, request custom calligraphy, or drop a note in the in-house Montblanc Post. A quiet nod to the brand’s writing heritage.

A green sofa, a wall of books, and a curated selection of watch novelties and High Artistry writing instruments. The Library is less about interaction, more about presence. A calm display of materials and detail.

The final space returns to the brand’s horological roots. A backdrop of the Combe-Grède valley — the daily view from the Villeret manufacture — anchors the room. Visitors can speak with a Minerva watchmaker, personalize a metal plate, or learn one of the core watchmaking skills developed in-house.

The Montblanc Chalet doesn’t overstate. It offers a structured, immersive view of the Maison’s commitment to clarity, performance, and craft — from mountain to desk, and back to the mountain.
